DIY Invitations

Like many budget brides, I decided to make my own invitations. Not only were most invitations priced way over my budget, but the ones that were within my budget were not really what I wanted. I really wanted something colourful, bold, and fun. I'm really glad that I made my own invitations, because I love how they turned out, and now I can say that they are mine. I made them, and they are unique. It is definitely worth the work... at least, I think it is. :)

Here are a few photos of what I created. These were printed on an ink jet printer, but the real ones will be printed with a laser printer because I found that the ink smudged a lot on the metallic paper, even after letting it dry for a few days. I hope you like them! I'm going to be posting more photos and instructions for them soon.

Here are about half (70) of the pocketfolds cut and folded, with the yellow panels glued on. With myself and one bridesmaid, I was surprised at how little time this part took (about 2 hours). Progress! Woot!
