Pearls, Pearls, Pearls

I am anti-bling, pro-pearl for my wedding. My latest pearl project are embellishments for my bouquet.
I saw some when I visited the florist and flipped through the bouqet books and I was thrilled! Until she told me they would be $1 EACH (and did I mention I wanted 20-40/bouquet x 9 bouquets = $$$).
I searched online to see if I could find some of my own and sure enough here they are: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=21032967
(etsy has everything!)
But....they are still pricey - these are $19 for 24. Soooooooooo, wanna make your own? Here is how:
1. Go to Michaels (or a similar craft store) - and take a coupon from your bridal magazine to get 25% off!
2. Buy pearl beads - they are about $1-$3 for a pack of 8 to 72 pearls depending on the size.
3. Buy floral wire (about $3.00 - no bigger than 22 guage) and wire cutters (got mine at the dollar store)
All you do is cut the wire in about 12" pieces, string it through the pearl and twist. Voila!
For about $10 you can make 100 of these. Woo hoo - now that is a bride on a budget.
Good luck!

As someone who does quite a lot of wire twisting, you really did an excellent job!

These are great. One of my bridesmaids had a similar idea except she wanted to superglue the pearls to the top of small nails. Yours are definitely classier, but I don't which would be cheaper.
