My wedding is an event nine years in the making.  My fiance and I met in September 1999 and one Cheap Trick concert two weeks later, I was his.  Since my passion is music and I'm more of an appreciator  than a musician, a concert was a quick way to my heart.  Besides music, I'm all about art - photography and graphic design mainly, but I love it all.  My darling red-headed adonis, Berry, loves games and history... He's good at science and math, I'm good at english and social events... He grew up in the country, I grew up in the city... I have lived in Austin, TX my entire life.  Berry came here to go to college, and that was when we met.  I never thought two people so different could be so eye-to-eye... I guess it's because we complete each other in every way.

Our wedding highlights our differences and our similarities. 
Berry and his groomsmen will wear tuxedos with converse, because they are all about comfort.  I will wear a custom made gown inspired by the fashion of the 1950's.  The dress itself is based on an amalgamation of Audrey Hepburn's party dress in "Sabrina" and several of the dresses worn by Marilyn Monroe in "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes", and my "crew" including my "best lady" will wear 1950's cocktail dresses, that are wearable again and again because they are so cute.

Because we are both very fond of our native land of Texas, we will be getting married on the rolling green hills of the State Capitol grounds.  The area is covered in ancient oak trees and antique lighting, and the lights will come on as we are finishing our vows.

I passed on my love of music to Berry and we will have our reception at a bar in the heart of Sixth Street, Austin's famous music district.  At the bar, Buffalo Billiards, there will be games galore (board games, XBOX, Playstation, Air Hockey, Pinball) because Berry shared his love of games with me.  My friend who is a local DJ will take care of our music that night and play a song list that he and I have been cultivating over the better part of a year.

I should be the Bride of the Summer because I am getting married on the hottest day of the year in Austin, September 27th.  To a lot of people that means that Fall is starting, but to us folk, the end of Summer is a long way off.

I found Tigerlilly because I was looking for a vintage feel with my accessories and I was pleased to find what I was looking for!  I plan on getting the Charlotte Birdcage Veil and the Bird Earrings and Necklace with Palace Green Opal crystals.  I was also planning on getting my Bridesmaids jewelry and gifts through Tigerlilly too, but I haven't narrowed down which ones I want yet.
